Vanderbilt baseball previews gameplay in MLB: The Show 25 video game
Vanderbilt baseball posted a preview of what its gameplay will look like in the MLB: The Show 25 video game Wednesday.
The Commodores are one of eight teams that will be in the game, along with Tennessee, Texas, Cal State Fullerton, LSU, South Carolina, UCLA and TCU.

In the "Road to the Show" mode, players can create an athlete who progresses through high school, college and minor league baseball before making it to the majors.
The gameplay snippets posted by Vanderbilt show a fictional "College Baseball Championship" hosted at a park that resembles Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, the home of the College World Series.
According to Matt Brown of Extra Points, the game will not contain any actual names or likenesses of real players, as the majority of the MLB: The Show gameplay is unrelated to college baseball.

The game will officially be released on March 18 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
