Welcome to Trains Tuesday
Starting today we're offering subscribers a new way to read print magazine features online. It's called Trains Tuesday.
As the name implies, each Tuesday we will post a feature story from the current month's issue of Trains . Each feature will appear in a new web format that features large images and will allow us to include video and interactive graphics.
Today's premiere installment is Luke Sharrett's gripping story about encountering thieves who were pilfering containers on slow-moving trains in California's Tehachapi Pass. We hope you like it - and that you will return to Trains.com every Tuesday for more feature stories.

Trains Tuesday is one part of our broader effort to improve our online and digital offerings.
We also have a new Trains app for iOS devices that provides a Kindle-like reading experience of the entire monthly magazine. It's available for download at the Apple App store . (An app for Android devices is coming soon.)
At Zinio.com , you can read the monthly magazine in a format that's best suited for laptop and desktop computers.
To access Trains on the Trains app or at Zinio, you can log in using the same username and password you use to access subscriber-only content on Trains.com .
Our PDF archive of Trains Magazine issues - going all the way back to Vol. 1, Issue 1 in November 1940 - is still available on Trains.com , too.
The goal here is to provide you with a menu of reading formats that can supplement the monthly print magazine.
