ASCENDO, Trinnov, and Christie are once again teaming up for Audio Advice Live, this time bringing a home theater demo built around one of the industry's newest bass management technologies.

Inside the Magnolia II demo room, the companies will showcase Trinnov's Cylindrical WaveForming alongside an ASCENDO immersive audio system and Christie's latest residential laser projector. The demonstration is designed to show how Cylindrical WaveForming performs in a challenging square room while highlighting the latest hardware from all three companies.

For those unfamiliar with the technology, Cylindrical WaveForming focuses on managing low frequencies before room modes become a problem. A floor-level array of front subwoofers works together with rear-mounted subwoofers to create a more even bass response throughout the room. According to Trinnov, the approach improves transient response and provides greater consistency from seat to seat while requiring less architectural complexity than traditional planar WaveForming.

The Magnolia II theater will feature Trinnov's AltitudeCI processor, an Amplitude16 amplifier, and Dante interface driving an ASCENDO immersive audio system built around 13 coaxial point-source speakers. Bass duties fall to six ASCENDO THE18 SUB PASSIVE VENTED subwoofers, with four positioned across the front wall and two at the rear to complete the Cylindrical WaveForming array.

The system also incorporates ASCENDO's THE32 infrasonic subwoofer. The 32-inch driver extends bass reproduction below the operating range of the WaveForming array, adding the lowest frequencies found in modern movie soundtracks.

On the video side, Christie will power the demonstration with its Korus 4K1000-KS laser projector paired with a 135-inch Stewart Filmscreen Wallscreen Deluxe featuring Harmony woven material. Built around Texas Instruments' latest 0.8-inch HEP DMD chipset, the projector is rated for more than 10,000 ISO lumens and supports 4K UHD+ resolution.

Outside the theater, ASCENDO and Trinnov will also have a 2.1-channel music system in the Audio Advice Live lobby featuring ASCENDO's BLACK SWAN loudspeakers, THE28 SUB SQUARED subwoofer, Trinnov's AltitudeCI processor, and the Amplitude16 amplifier.

Audio Advice Live 2026 takes place August 7–9 at the Sheraton Hotel in Raleigh, North Carolina.
