Leak: iPhone 17 Lineup to Mimic MacBook Air M4 Colors, Plus One Bold Addition
A handful of leaks have surfaced recently regarding the full color lineup for Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 series, including a surprising new color option for the Pro models. The leaks so far are based on internal documents and early-stage dummy units.
The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are expected to come in a variety of lighter shades. What stood out to me is that the upcoming, thin-profiled iPhone 17 Air is said to come in black, white, sky blue, and a soft gold tone, mimicking the MacBook Air M4 colors.
And if you already didn't know, no iPhone 17 Plus is expected this year; it's getting replaced by iPhone 17 Air. The base iPhone 17 may be released in black, white, steel gray, green, purple (which some have described as light pink), and light blue.
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are predicted to have a darker, more discreet set of tones, except for one very bright option. Early signals point to black, white (possibly leaning silver or gray), a dark blue similar to recent titanium finishes, and—out of nowhere—a bold orange. This orange is described as bright but balanced.
Dummy unit colors often differ slightly from finished products, and what I have noticed is that the final product usually looks significantly better than what's visible in the leaks. It's hard to imagine how Apple might improve on that vibrant orange, though.
