Motorola just released a Swarovski-studded Razr like it's 2006
Motorola showed a phone at IFA that caused me to check what year it is.
Since time travel wasn't also unveiled at the show, it can only be nostalgia that has led to the latest version of the Razr. How else to explain the appearance of a patterned flip phone that's studded with crystals?
All that glitters
The 2026 Razr (known as the Razr 70 when it's in Europe) has gotten a sparkling makeover. A deep charcoal (Pantone Meteorite, to be specific), quilted finish that's familiar to Chanel lovers is studded with 35 Swarovski Crystals in Silver Night that Motorola said are hand-positioned. Even the hinge is designed to stun, with a signature 32-facet Swarovski Crystal on it so that every flip is emphasized visually.
The phone is part of Motorola's Brilliant collection, which debuted last year with a similar spin on the 2025 Razr in Pantone Ice Melt set in Swarovskis, along with matching Moto Buds Loops that could count as jewelry when worn.

The Swarovski version of the phone will be available in select markets within North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. So far there is not a price for it.
Phones of a more plain persuasion
Motorola also showed the Motorola Edge 70 Plus and Edge 70 Plus Neo.
While they don't literally shine, they do have impressive battery life; 6,500-mAh for the Edge 70 Plus and 7,000-mAh for the Edge 70 Plus Neo.
They do come in several Pantone shades: Mountain View, Gray Lilac, Milky Blue, and Sage. But they won't be for sale in the US, and are instead destined for the Europe, the UK, and the Middle East.
An ultra new watch
The Moto Watch got a bit of an upgrade at IFA with an LTE version called the Moto Watch Ultra.
Our writer Rita El Khoury got to go hands-on with it and said, "The Moto Watch Ultra ticks a lot of good boxes, misses out on a few, and as a Pixel Watch 5 fan , it made me just a bit jealous in a few key areas, specifically the value proposition."
It's 46mm, and has a 1.5-inch OLED display. There's a black stainless steel version that ships with two black straps, one leather with red stitches and one silicone. And a silver stainless steel version that comes with a brown leather strap and a green silicone one.
