Motorola might be raising prices, but this phone's still $110
It's a sign of the times when Motorola is raising prices on its budget phones . Of course, the brand isn't alone, but it stings a little more when it's Motorola because the company has been known to offer some of the best budget Android phones you can buy for the past several years.
We've reviewed a few of them over the years, and for the most part, we really liked them. Naturally, there are going to be hits and misses, but the Moto G Play 2024 is a solid winner in our books, especially when it can be had for cheap. With that said, you can grab the Moto G Play 2024 for just $110 from Best Buy.
A solid budget phone
So, if you're looking for a new phone that won't break the bank, this is going to be it. We scored the G Play an 8/10 in our review, highlighting its snappy processor, solid battery life, 90Hz display, and dependable cameras. It features a pretty simple design, but does come in a pretty unique color in Sapphire Blue.
It features a 6.5-inch screen and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card. It also has dual cameras on the rear, with a 50MP main and 8MP ultrawide. You should be able to get through a full day with regular use thanks to the 5,000mAh battery. Just be sure to pop in on the charger at night because the 15W charging speed isn't exactly quick.
Naturally, if you're looking for a gaming beast, or a phone that has the best-in-class cameras, you'll need to look elsewhere. But for the most part, the Moto G Play is going to be a solid performer if you're looking for something cheap. The $110 price tag is more than fair, and the handset will be able to handle most things you throw at it.
