Samsung's One UI 9 beta is finally coming to the Galaxy S25 family

After testing One UI 9 beta on the Galaxy S26 for a few months now, Samsung is finally expanding the public beta program to include the Galaxy S25 family.
As Samsung typically does, the Galaxy S25 's One UI 9 beta program is only live in select countries, including the UK, South Korea, and India. It may eventually expand to other countries, such as Poland and the US, with future beta builds.
The 3.8GB ZZHL firmware packs the August 2026 security patch and brings all the One UI 9 and Android 17 goodies to Samsung's 2025 flagship phones. This includes a more customizable Quick Settings panel, DeX enhancements, and new accessibility features.

Samsung is unlikely to bring all the new One UI 9 features as seen on the Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 to the S25 due to hardware limitations. Still, most of the core improvements should make their way to the S25 family.
Besides the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, the S25 FE is also eligible for the One UI 9 beta. You must enroll in the beta program from the Notices section in the Samsung Members app, after which you will receive the latest beta firmware over the air.
Stable One UI 9 should start rolling out soon

While the Galaxy S26's One UI 9 beta program has been running for a few months, Samsung will likely test Android 17 on the S25 family for only a few weeks before rolling out the stable version.
The Galaxy S26's stable One UI 9 update should roll out in the next couple of weeks, and the S25 series should receive it a few weeks after that. The Fold 7 and Flip 7 should also get a taste of One UI 9 before its stable release soon.
Alongside the Galaxy S25, Samsung also pushed the eighth One UI 9 beta build for the Galaxy S26. Unlike previous beta firmware though, this only seems limited to the Ultra variant and only contains stability improvements related to "terminal operation."
