GTA 6has become a major hit on Netflix, with its first gameplay footage attracting millions of viewers. The gameplay is now performing strongly on Netflix 's rankings.

Netflix's Extended Look at GTA 6 is a streaming hit

On August 27, Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premiered on Netflix. The special attracted a huge number of viewers worldwide. The massive audience even briefly put pressure on Netflix servers.

According to FlixPatrol , it reached No. 2 in the U.S. and remains No. 2 on Netflix's U.S. Top 10. As of now, GTA 6 remains at No. 2. The other movies on the list include The Whisper Man, The Secret Woman, Facing El Chapo, The Angry Birds Movie 2, Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young, Don't Say Good Luck, 72 Hours, The Last House, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Rockstar Games released 26 minutes of new gameplay footage. The footage was captured on a standard PlayStation 5. It showed Vice City and several new gameplay details. Fans also saw Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.

Players can switch between both characters during gameplay. The footage also highlighted improved game physics and animations. Lucia is the first female playable main character. She appears in the modern HD GTA series.

Meanwhile, Jason is Lucia's male partner and love interest. His past is connected to criminals and the army. Their relationship will be an important part of the GTA 6 storyline. There was no live commentary during the gameplay showcase.

Netflix released the footage six hours before YouTube. This helped bring even more viewers to Netflix. Several major streamers also watched the gameplay footage. IShowSpeed, Kai Cenat, Fanum, and others reacted to it.

Their reactions helped generate even more online attention. The special is still performing strongly on Netflix. GTA 6 is currently scheduled for November 19. Fans still have several months before the game arrives, but Netflix has already made GTA 6 gameplay a streaming hit.
