Meet Luffu Link, the Wellness Wearable for the Whole Family
As a caregiver in the sandwich generation , how connected can you — or should — you really be? You want to know where your kids are without tracking their every move. You want to stay on top of your parents' health without becoming their full-time care coordinator. You need enough information to step in when it matters, but not so much that you're carrying everyone's needs, schedules and symptoms in your head all day. Because somewhere in the middle of caring for your children and parents, you're still supposed to make room for yourself .
The root of the issue, as Fitbit founders James Park and Eric Friedman see it, is that caregiving and health rarely involve just one person — but technology is still designed that way. "Most tools today are built around one person managing their own health," Park tells Flow Space. "But in real life — and especially midlife — you may be thinking about your child, a partner, your pet, your parents and your own health all at once."

With the Luffu Link , launched this week, they set out to solve that problem.
The sleek, screenless wearable device is meant to be worn by all members of your family, including aging parents and kids aged 13 and up. It monitors key wellness indicators and gives caregivers a heads up in case of significant changes in their loved one's health — but it's not just a tracker. In case of an emergency, like sustaining a fall or an injury, your loved one can send you a voice message and their location at the touch of a button — no phone required.

There's no complicated touchscreen to confuse older family members or young kids, either. The wearable just has one button on the side, which you can press to send an "I need help" message or double-tap to let contacts know you're OK. It's also GPS- and LTE- enabled, so your loved ones don't need a phone (or phone plan) to let you know where they are or send help or check-in messages.
Beyond the emergency features, the Link captures a lot of biomarkers — activity, sleep, calories and heart rate variability, to name a few. It's not as overwhelming as you think. The app tracks all this data in the background and uses AI to organize and analyze it, so you're only notified when there's a change you need to know about. Loved ones and caregivers can also log voice notes to add updates that aren't input automatically (like symptoms or new medications).

Luffu Link connects to the brand's app to centralize and organize your family's information.
It's about simplifying and centralizing all the info that would otherwise be floating around in your head and on disjointed notepads. "The goal isn't to give people more data to manage," Park explains. "It's to help make sense of all the family health information that matters, reduce some of the burden that is often taken on by one person and be able to share some of the responsibility across your family circle."
It's all designed to connect you with the people you love, when you need to be connected — and to keep track of your own health too. Park says, "Caring for yourself shouldn't disappear because you're caring for everyone else."
The Luffu Link is available to preorder now at a discounted price of $250 (down from the full price of $300), and is expected to ship in early 2027.
