Last Chance For An Ultrahuman Ring Pro Deal As U.S. Pre-Orders Open

Back in February I wrote about the announcement of Ultrahuman's Ring Pro smart ring. It wasn't initially coming to the U.S., but is now available to pre-order in the country.

Why the delay? Ultrahuman was barred from selling its rings in the U.S. in October 2025, following a design patent complaint from rival Oura .

The company has now received "clearance" from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, letting the new model once again ship out to the American audience.

"We're delighted to be back in the U.S., and engineering has prevailed – as it always does," says Mohit Kumar, Ultrahuman CEO.

It's only the new Ring Pro that's coming to the U.S., though, with the original Ring Air still blocked from sale, as Kumar explained in an interview with Tom's Guide .

"We took the right path to make sure that the design is approved by customs, and they officially issue an order that says 'this is a design which is unique and non-infringing, for the patent which Oura holds,'" says Kumar.

He also still professes the Ring Air is a different enough design from Oura's ring to negate the claim it's a copy — which is what got Ultrahuman in this position in the first place. But that case is ongoing.

"We believe that Ring Air is unique [from the Oura Ring design] and different. There was a negative order from the International Trade Commission (ITC), but we're still fighting that in the Federal Circuit," he explains.

Ultrahuman Ring Pro Features

The top appeals of the Ultrahuman Ring Pro are long battery life and that it's perfectly possible to use the smart ring without an ongoing monthly subscription.

It lasts up to 15 days between charges. And where Oura's platform costs $5.99 a month, you only need to pay Ultrahuman ongoing fees for PowerPlug software extras that provide atrial fibrillation detection and menstrual cycle tracking.

The delay in getting the Ultrahuman Ring Pro to U.S. shores means you've missed out on the best deals from Ultrahuman's early bird scheme. But there's still a chance to get a bit of a discount.
