Zac Brown Band stuns Fenway crowd with free Margaritaville cruises

Zac Brown Band is putting 37,000 fans on the "Same Boat" for an island escape from Boston. On Aug. 2, the band played a record-breaking 15thconsecutive sold-out show at Boston's Fenway Park — and Brown topped it by handing every single fan in the audience a free Margaritaville at Sea cruise as a thank-you.

Valued at more than $40 million, the gift is being described as the largest audience gifting in live entertainment history — and it happened just before the band launched into its performance of "Same Boat."

"Tonight we're going to do something that even Jimmy would say is crazy," Brown told the crowd. "I'm buying every single person here a cruise for two people on the boat. This is the biggest giveaway in history, ladies and gentlemen, right here tonight at Fenway Park!" 

The free cruises can be redeemed on select Margaritaville at Sea sailings over the next year, giving fans a real reason to look forward to a getaway that inspires the same kind of joy as a Zac Brown Band show.

This wasn't a one-off stunt. Margaritaville at Sea is the presenting sponsor of Zac Brown Band's Love & Fear U.S. Tour , and the band is giving away four cruises at every single stop. The tour kicked off in July and runs through November, following the band's limited engagement at Sphere Las Vegas and the release of its eighth studio album, Love & Fear.

"This was an extraordinary way to thank the fans who have supported him throughout his career, and we're proud to have helped make that incredible vision a once-in-a-lifetime reality."

Fans who win a cruise at a Love & Fear Tour stop will get the chance to sail aboard Beachcomber, Margaritaville at Sea's third ship, debuting in January 2027. The ship will be home to "Same Boat," a first-of-its-kind artist-curated live music venue at sea that Brown himself helped design. The name is a tribute to his 2021 collaboration with the late Jimmy Buffett, founder of the Margaritaville brand. "Same Boat" is built to feel like a front-row concert experience at sea — craft cocktails, premium acoustics, and southern hospitality included.
