Disney’s Most Popular Affordable Resort Has a Whole New Look for 2026

Meghann Foye

If you’ve ever stayed at a Disney "Value" resort, you know the deal: you’re trading square footage for proximity to the parks and a price tag that doesn't break the bank. But Disney’s Pop Century Resort—a fan-favorite for its direct access to the Disney Skyliner is currently debuting a top-to-bottom refresh that makes "budget" feel a lot more like "boutique." The resort has just unveiled a reimagined lobby, a sleek pool bar update and a sophisticated new look for its guest rooms.

The transformation starts the second you walk through the front doors. The new lobby has swapped its older, darker tones for a bright, energetic atmosphere filled with floor-to-ceiling pop culture art from the 1950s through the 90s .

Beyond the aesthetics, the space is now much more functional for the modern traveler. As project manager Luis Sanchezshared, “One of our biggest goals was making the lobby feel brighter, more vibrant and more functional for Guests. We looked at everything from the lighting to the seating layout so the space feels more open and comfortable.” This includes new communal tables equipped for charging devices while you wait for your room text.

Upstairs, the guest rooms have received a "clean and comfy" glow-up that leans into layered textures and a brighter palette. Imagineers replaced the older carpets with warm, wood-toned flooring and added geometric insets in shades of blue, gray, and orange. While the look is more modern, the Disney whimsy is still there if you look closely. The new patterned upholstery features “subtle touches—including Hidden Mickeys in the chair fabric—that keep the space feeling unmistakably Disney while still clean, comfortable and functional.”

Even the outdoor hangouts got some love. Petals Pool Barat the Hippy Dippy Pool now features updated tilework and digital menu boards to make mid-day ordering a breeze.

When you combine these updates with the resort’s existing perks—like early theme park entry and the high-flying Skyliner ride to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios—it’s clear that Pop Century is staking its claim as the best value on property. It’s a sophisticated, fresh chapter for the decades-themed resort, proving that you can stay in the heart of the magic without sacrificing style.
