This Fan-Favorite Hotel Chain Was Just Named #1 in the U.S. Over Marriott
When travelers set out to maximize their hotel points, massive corporate heavyweights like Marriott Bonvoyor Hilton Honorsare usually the first names that jump to mind. But according to travel experts and thousands of everyday frequent flyers, America's favorite hotel rewards program belongs to a completely different industry giant.
USA Today 10Best has officially released its 2026 rankings for the Best Hotel Loyalty Program, and taking home the top crown for an unprecedented ninth consecutive year is Wyndham Rewards.
Wyndham took top honors thanks to its refreshingly straightforward approach to earning and redeeming points. Unlike competitors that rely on confusing peak season markups or dynamic pricing algorithms, Wyndham maintains simple, predictable fixed redemption rates that mean award prices won't skyrocket when demand peaks. Members earn a guaranteed 1,000 points on every qualified stay, with free night awards starting at just 7,500 points per night.

The program's secret weapon is its incredible high-low versatility. Wyndham's massive global network spans thousands of properties that cater to every budget and style of getaway. On the accessible, value-driven end, road-trippers and budget travelers can easily bank and redeem points at familiar roadside staples like Days Inn, Super 8, La Quinta, and Ramada. Meanwhile, points-chasers looking for elevated luxury can redeem those same hard-earned points for upscale stays at spots like the HQ Luxury Resortsor spacious multi-bedroom vacation rentals and beach club resorts around the globe.
This latest win also caps off a major double-header for Wyndham. Just last month, the program also clinched the No. 1 spot in U.S. News & World Report's annual Best Hotel Rewards Programs ranking, cementing its status as the most rewarding option for everyday travelers.
