A new hotel in Beverly Hills , California, proves you don’t need to pay four figures per night to stay in the heart of the city.
The Hôtel Lili, the latest Palisociety outpost , brings its signature model of small, millennial-oriented bed-and-breakfasts for $200-$500 a night, to a famously expensive market. It’s within a block of the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills; The Peninsula Beverly Hills; and The Beverly Hilton.
“This location is as good as it gets,” says Avi Brosh, the founder of Palisociety, who now has 16 hotels in California. “But for us to take our style of hotel and make it in Beverly Hills, where the average hotel room is close to $1,000 a night, it creates something for people who are essentially priced out of Beverly Hills now.”
The 44-room hotel feels very much like an old Beverly Hills home, which is exactly what it is; the private residence was first built in 1939. The cozy lobby bar, dressed in red velvet and florals, serves snacks (think tinned fish and other noshes from a spot without a kitchen) and punchy cocktails. Those familiar with Palisociety’s inviting decor—warm gem tones, stripes galore, whimsical prints—will feel right at home.
“If you want to come here and feel part of the community, and you don't need a grand, over-the-top opulent experience, you just want to stay somewhere really cute with great hospitality, we’re the absolute perfect solution for that,” Brosh says. “We understand the value of being in Beverly Hills and how to fit into the landscape in terms of our pricing power and what our customer is really looking for. I think we nailed it here.”
Palisoociety has the widest reach among boutique hotel companies in Los Angeles, with nine locations. That said, they aren't the only ones offering affordable stays across the city, which is particularly of note as L.A. gears up for the FIFA World Cup, the 2027 Super Bowl, and the 2028 Summer Olympics. The Hoxton, Downtown LA; the Freehand, and Hotel Per La, Autograph Collection, all offer good deals in downtown Los Angeles; Short Stories Hotel and Hotel Ziggy have comparable prices in West Hollywood; and micro-stay Gjelina Hotel in Venice Beach has rooms for under $300 a night.
Nightly rates at The Hôtel Lili start at $325, and you can book your stay at palisociety.com .
