Airline Connects New York to South Caicos With First-Ever Nonstop Winter Service

BermudAir is adding the first-ever nonstop commercial flight service between the New York metropolitan area and South Caicos, providing Tri-State travelers with direct winter access to one of the most secluded destinations in the Turks and Caicos.

The seasonal route begins December 20, 2026 , and operates twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays through April 25, 2027. Flights will connect Newark Liberty International Airport directly with South Caicos International Airport, completing the journey in roughly three and a half hours.

The boutique carrier will operate the route using dual-class Embraer E190 aircraft configured in an all-aisle-and-window 2-2 seating layout with no middle seats, subject to final government approval.

Direct Access to Secluded Island Resorts

"Now New Yorkers can fly nonstop to two distinct sides of the Turks and Caicos Islands — Providenciales and the secluded island of South Caicos," said Adam Scott, founder and chief executive officer of BermudAir.

The direct link eliminates the need for travelers to book connecting flights through regional Caribbean hubs or arrange inter-island boat transfers from Providenciales. Arriving passengers land roughly ten minutes from properties like Salterra, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, as well as Sailrock South Caicos.

The Thursday and Sunday schedule creates practical options for three-night weekend escapes, four-night midweek stays, or full weeklong island retreats, establishing a direct corridor for nonstop winter flights to South Caicos .

Expanded Airlift Across Turks and Caicos

The Newark route establishes a second mainland United States departure point for South Caicos, joining American Airlines' existing direct service out of Miami.

The additional flights double scheduled international airlift to the eight-square-mile island from two weekly flights to four during the peak winter travel window. The route forms part of a broader seasonal expansion by BermudAir across the territory, which includes new or expanded nonstop flights to Providenciales from Boston, Baltimore-Washington, Raleigh-Durham, Fort Lauderdale, St. Petersburg/Tampa, and Toronto. Local officials note that the expanded airlift supports ongoing terminal modernization and tourism infrastructure upgrades across the southern islands.

Fares and Vacation Packages

Introductory fares start at $347 one-way and $773 for roundtrip itineraries, with pricing adjusting based on travel dates and seat availability.

Local resorts, including Salterra, are introducing dedicated stay packages timed specifically to the airline's Thursday and Sunday flight schedule. BermudAir Holidays is also rolling out bundled Caribbean vacation packages combining scheduled flights, luxury beachfront suites, and guided excursions.

South Caicos maintains a much quieter atmosphere than neighboring resort hubs, known for world-class bonefishing flats, uncrowded white-sand beaches, historical salt salinas, and preserved marine habitats across the surrounding national parks.
