Your morning latte is about to get you a lot closer to your next vacation getaway.
Starting August 5, Delta Air Linesand Starbucks are officially bringing back one of their most popular loyalty perks: eligible linked members will once again earn 1 SkyMile for every $1 spentat participating Starbucks coffeehouses.
The update marks a welcome return to the original 1 mile/$1 structure first introduced when the power-couple partnership launched in 2022. It replaces the 2024 model—which required members to reload $25 or more onto a digital Starbucks gift card to earn miles—and makes racking up rewards as simple as tapping your phone for your daily iced coffee .

How the Updated Earning Rule Works

To start earning miles on your daily sips, you just need to link your Delta SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards accounts at deltastarbucks.com.

The Flight Requirement:To qualify for everyday 1 mile/$1 earning starting August 5, linked members must have flown a qualifying Delta flight within the previous 12 months.

The Grace Period:If it's been a while since you've taken to the skies, don't worry. All linked members are granted a grace period allowing them to earn 1 mile per $1 spent on Starbucks purchases through October 5, 2026, giving you plenty of time to get your next Delta flight on the books. Newly linked members will also get 12 months of automatic earning eligibility right out of the gate.

Travel Day Bonus:Popular existing perks aren't going anywhere. Linked members will continue to earn Double Starson any Starbucks purchases made on the actual day of a scheduled Delta flight.
