Ariana Grande with Nicki Minaj, Shawn Mendes, John Legend Added As 2016 American Music Awards Performers
The2016 American Music Awardsjust announced some more major performer firepower with the addition ofAriana GrandewithNicki Minaj, as well asShawn MendesandJohn Legend. Grande and Minaj are scheduled to perform their hit "Side to Side," with both notching their fourth time playing the show, while six-time nominee Legend will be gracing the AMA stage for the first time, as will Mendes, who is also making his debut on the broadcast.
They join an all-star roster that will also include Fifth HarmonyJames Bay, The Chainsmokers with Halsey and Carlos Vives with Shakira, as well as Lady Gaga, Green Day, Bruno Mars, Twenty One Pilots and American Music Award of Merit honoree and performer Sting. The show will be broadcast live on Nov. 20 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Adele and Justin Bieber have five nominations each, followed by four nods each for Beyoncé and The Chainsmokers and three for Bryson Tiller, Twenty One Pilots, Carrie Underwood, Fetty Wap and the Weeknd. The 2016 American Music Awards show is executive produced by Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan, with Larry Klein, Barry Adelman and Mark Bracco serving as producers.
