Before even hitting her teens, Blue Ivy, who was born on Jan. 7, 2012, had already been featured on multiple Top 10 tracks and won her first awards, including a BET HER award and NAACP Image award for her work on " Brown Skin Girl ". She's the youngest BET award winner ever
At 8 years old, Blue Ivy made history winning a BET award for her songwriting on "Brown Skin Girl" from the Disney Lion King soundtrack. She's the youngest person to ever win a BET award, a VMA Award and was also the youngest person ever to have a track on Billboard's Top 100 charts .
She went on tour before she was 2
Blue Ivy toured with mom Beyoncé when she was just 19 months old, getting an up-close look at the life of a pop star. "It's really interesting because I'm touring with my daughter for the first time," Beyoncé said at a press conference in 2013, per Daily Mail . "And my dream has always been to be able to balance my life and my career."
She started performing with her mom on the Renaissance World Tour
Not only does Blue Ivy join her mom Beyoncé on tour, but she's been performing with her too. In 2023, she was a special guest on the Renaissance World Tour for the songs "My Power" and "My Parade."
"Give it up for Blue," Beyoncé told the crowd when she first came out on stage.
"She's a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage," Beyoncé told GQ of her performances. "Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes."
She was bidding at art auctions by age 6
In 2018, Blue accompanied her parents to the Wearable Art Gala, an annual fundraising event for Beyoncé's mom Tina Lawson's Los Angeles performing arts space. Not only was Blue Ivy serving up some serious fashion, but she coolly put in a bid on one of the items — for $19,000.

She's made her feature film debut
With singing and dancing under her belt, Blue Ivy has ventured into acting, too. In 2024, Blue Ivy starred in Mufasa: The Lion King as Kiara, the daughter of Simba.
"My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night," Beyoncé wrote on Instagram after the premiere, where Blue Ivy rocked a showstopping gold dress. "You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining."

She's been featured in her mom and dad's songs
Even before Blue started writing her own songs, her coos and first words were memorialized on her parents' tracks, including "Legacy" from Jay-Z's 4:44 and Beyoncé's "Blue".
She studied ballet.
TMZ shared a 2017 video of Blue Ivy's ballet recital, and an adorable performance to Earth, Wind & Fire's "September" is a must-watch.
She looked just like mom Beyoncé at age 7
"Someone made this comparison of me at age 7 and Blue at age 7," Beyoncé shared along a side-by-side on Instagram — and wow, we could be looking at twins.
She was nervous to meet LeBron James.
Blue Ivy may be used to life around the rich and famous, but one star still had her tongue-tied. After watching a Lakers game at the Staples Center in 2020, Blue wanted a signed basketball from LeBron, but dad Jay says he had to convince his daughter to ask for it herself.
"I can't do it," the rapper said in a video from ESPN. "If you want it, you gotta tell him….You almost got it out. Yeah, just do it."

Grandma Lawson and Beyoncé agree: Blue Ivy is a doting big sis to twin sibs Sir and Rumi. "She's very proud and very excited," Lawson told Entertainment Tonight .

At the 2018 Grammys, Blue Ivy accompanied her parents to the show — or should we say they accompanied her. All eyes were on Blue throughout the night as mom Beyoncé dutifully offered her snacks and a juice box, and Blue won us over by insisting her parents calm down their clapping .

At just 9 years old, Blue Ivy had already made waves in the world of fashion. And she's getting even more into the art by joining her mom and little sister Rumi in Ivy Park campaigns. In 2021, Beyoncé dropped the first few looks at her Halls of Ivy collaboration with Adidas , and Blue commanded the camera with her confidence.

Upon his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Jay-Z probably had no idea of the number of close friends, family, and collaborators who came together to celebrate this monumental accomplishment. In a video where wife Beyoncé and famous friends like Alicia Keys and Rihanna recited some of his most memorable lyrics, Blue showed up at the very end and shared some rhymes of her own . "Congrats S. Carter, ghost writer. You paid the right price, so we just made your hits tighter," Blue recited, putting a spin on Jay's 1998 track "Ride Or Die."
They may be the King and Queen, but when it comes to their daughter, they're putty in her hands.
