Christina Applegate, star of “Married with Children” and “Jesse,” has been hospitalized following an infection in both kidneys.

The actress revealed the information on the most recent episode of her podcast, " MeSsy ," which she co-hosts with “The Sopranos” star Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

Applegate explained that she was “in so much pain” and “screaming” after returning from a trip to Europe to visit family, which led her to seek medical answers.

“I’m not doing a podcast from the hospital because I felt like doing one from the hospital was an awesome idea,” she said. “We just happened to have this scheduled and they won’t let me leave yet because things are messy. But I’m gonna be OK.”

Applegate revealed she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021 and has since taken a break from acting. Her “MeSsy” co-host also suffers from the disease. Their navigation of life with the disease is a central topic of their podcast.

“This is not sustainable, cause this has nothing to do with MS,” Sigler remarked on her co-hosts hospitalization. “So on top of the fact of you living with MS, this is a lot.”
