Alan Ruck, Richard Kind, David Costabile & Heléne Yorke Join ‘Hershey’ Movie

  • Alan Ruck, Richard Kind, David Costabile, and Helene Yorke have joined the cast of the indie film "Hershey," which explores the story of Milton S. Hershey and the iconic chocolate brand.

EXCLUSIVE:Alan Ruck ( Succession ), Richard Kind ( Only Murders in the Building ), David Costabile ( Billions ), and Heléne Yorke ( The Other Two ) have joined Hershey , Mean Girls helmer Mark Waters’ indie centered on the iconic chocolate brand and its founders.

Character details are under wraps. Currently in production in Pennsylvania, the film examines the rags-to-riches journey of Milton S. Hershey, the founder of the iconic Hershey Company and Milton Hershey School, starring Finn Wittrock as Milton and Daddario as his wife, Catherine “Kitty” Hershey, as previously announced.

Ruck will play Milton’s father Henry Hershey, whose lofty ambitions, but tragic abandonment of his family set the stage for his journey. Kind plays inspirational confectioner Joseph Royer, who gave young Milton his first candy-making job. Costabile plays villain and fictitious rival candymaker Tobias Thornhill, with Yorke as Kitty Hershey’s best friend, Margaret.

Written by Sharon Paul and Timothy Michael Hayes, Hershey ‘s ensemble also includes Michael Moreland Milligan ( Chicago Fire) , Francesca Faridany ( Manifest ), Daniel David Stewart ( Catch-22 ), and Dina Spybey-Waters ( Just Like Heaven ).

The film is a Dandelion Media production, in collaboration with Hershey Entities, and in association with Aloe Entertainment, Peachtree Group and RCM3. Paul, Mark Tilghman, Mary Aloe, Joshua Harris, and Will Hardy are producing alongside executive producers Daniel Hank, Joseph Lanius, Flip and Susan Flippen, and Joanne Marlowe. UTA Independent Film Group is representing worldwide rights.
