New Bravo series 'Love Hotel' stars Nashville music business exec: 'Ralph is the hottest'

A longtime Nashville music touring industry executive — still recovering from a heartbreak two years ago — appears to be an early-on favorite among the ladies in a new Bravo reality series called "Love Hotel," according to advance screeners provided by NBC Universal.

Ralph Mastrangelo, 62, is called "the hottest," "the tallest" and the most popular of the single older guys in the early episodes of "Love Hotel," which premieres at 8 p.m. Central on April 27 on Bravo.

The premise of the show: women from "The Real Wives" franchise — Shannon Storms Beador (Orange County), Gizelle Bryant (Potomac), Ashley Darby (Potomac) and Luann de Lesseps ("The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy") among them — are wives no more, and they're looking for love.

In a phone interview with The Tennessean — and on the show — Mastrangelo blushed at all the attention, adding how flattering it has been.

It's a lot for a guy who has been behind the scenes, usually behind sound boards at concerts for A-list acts, in his work life for decades. In fact, Mastrangelo, a New York native who's lived in Nashville for most of his life, said he really was unsure about appearing on "Love Hotel" in the first place.

After all, he's still healing from a heartbreak that devasted him a couple of years ago.

But, Mastrangleo said, a conversation with his boys, ages 10 and 11, flipped his thinking.

"They said, 'Dad, be yourself, you're a great guy,'" Mastrangelo told The Tennessean. "And inside, that was my God moment. So this is a very sincere, organic thing. That's the way I wanted to present myself and that's the way I did this."

Mastrangelo said he can't reveal if he found love — no spoilers! — but he did say he left the three weeks of taping the show in the fall with a bunch of good friends, men and women.
