Donnie Wahlberg Makes Bold Statement About New Kids on the Block Fans

Donnie Wahlberg and his boy band-mates from New Kids on the Block are kicking off a Las Vegas residency in June 2025. On the podcast Morning Magic with Sue and Kendra , the hosts had to ask him about how it's going so far, and the Blue Bloods star said he could not be more excited about it.

"We're really excited about it. I think it's just under two months away, so we can't wait. We've been working on it for a while. It's very different doing Vegas now, I guess, than it was considered years ago. People kind of do it at the heights of their careers [now] and I guess for us, it's pretty cool for us after all these years," said Wahlberg.

He went on to say that the show is a "tribute to the fans" because they are what keeps the group going after all these years. He even said that New Kids on the Block fans are "the secret ingredient" of the group.

"It's really a tribute to the fans, honestly. We work hard and we show up and make sure to never take our fans for granted. We don't just show up and [say] 'oh, let's do the same songs the same way every year, just dust it off and keep it going.' Our fans deserve more than that. They've been there since day one. They're the secret ingredient in this group," said Wahlberg.

He added, "We just try to treat them with the utmost respect. They spend their hard-earned money to come see us. They've dedicated their time to us all these years. Like the New Kids, they were written off many years ago for being a fad or a fluke or whatever, so we all take great collective pride in the fact that we're still here and still doing it…It's something we really appreciate and marvel at. Can't explain it. We can't explain the magic of these fans, we just thank God every day for them."

Wahlberg added that he and the guys — brothers Jonathanand Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyreand Danny Wood— also just simply love getting back together again.

"We all get to sort of feel like kids again every time we get together," said Wahlberg.

The NKOTB Las Vegas residency runs in three segments — June 20 through July 5, November 1-15, and then February 14-28 in 2026. Tickets are on sale now .
