Iconic rock frontman provides update on battle with stage 4 cancer
Brad Arnold, the lead singer of the rock band 3 Doors Down, announced he had been diagnosed with stage four cancer in an Instagram post two months ago.
Arnold asked fans to keep him in their prayers and said that he had "no fear." The band subsequently canceled their summer tour.
The frontman has kept his health journey private for the most part, but recently has shared updates on his Instagram account to let fans know how his treatment is going.
"I have to take an absolute insane amount of road trips for treatments over the next couple of years……..a little Maybach action should make them a little better," he said in a recent Instagram post . "By the way, God and you are the reason I get to have this stuff. I thank ya for it!"
The singer also gave fans an update on how his disease is progressing in a prior post .
"A lot of folks asked how I was doing the other day. I'm doin' great fam! Almost every day, I feel a little better. Things seem to be going great," he wrote. "Thank you for every prayer you all have prayed. With so much faith behind me and my own faith within me, I have no doubt of the outcome of this fight. God will continue to fight this batter for me……..and God doesn't fail. I love y'all!"
3 Doors Down was founded in 1996 by Arnold and friends Matt Roberts and Todd Harrell. They are known for their hit songs "Kryptonite" and "When I'm Gone," as well as their best-selling debut album "The Better Life."
