Jenna Ortega was seen with long extensions at "Good Morning America" in Hudson Square on Aug. 4.
The ends of Ortega's chocolate brown extensions, imagined by hairstylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez, swept along her lower back as she strutted down the sidewalk in a gray-toned jacket with black lapels and a matching knee-length skirt. Meanwhile, her elongated top hat acted as a shield for the left side of her face; her eyes just barely visible under blacked-out Dezi Sly sunglasses. Her entire ensemble — white pocket square, UNOde50 ring, Bohomoon Criss Cross hoop earrings, platform Louboutins and all — was styled by her longtime collaborator, Enrique Melendez.
Because most of her face was covered, Ortega wore minimal makeup. A light bronzer contoured her face just under cheekbones, while a rosy hue lines her otherwise naked lips. Her nails were kept short and bare, both popular style choices this summer. With her back to the cameras and the dramatic hair brushed down her back, Ortega was unrecognizable, a mystery woman in the morning.
Jenna Ortega's dark brown hair made her look unrecognizable as she turned her back to the cameras on the street.
Last week, the "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" star flipflopped between the added inches and her typical short, messy waves. For the London premiere of "Wednesday," she knotted the extensions halfway down her low ponytail as if she'd attached them down there. The hairstyle, however, did well to keep the attention on her face, where she brought life into the "tired girl" makeup trend with misty plum shadow hollowing out her eyes and a spooky, bold hue dressing her lips.
Honoring her television takeover of the fictional Wednesday Addams, Ortega and her glam team have been playing with earth tones, mostly brown, gray and mulberry. In the show, her character favors an even more exaggerated aesthetic, teaming her love for torture with inky black braids and charcoal eyeshadow under her eyes. This makeup has since inspired the "tired girl" beauty trend online, ending the "clean girl" reign ahead of fall.
