Literary pick for week of July 12: Jennifer Lynn Barnes in Roseville
- Bestselling author Jennifer Lynn Barnes will be presenting her latest book, "The Gilded Blade," at Ramsey County Library in Roseville, Minnesota, on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Everyone is a player in bestselling author Jennifer Lynn Barnes' "The Gilded Blade," finale to the global phenomenon of the Inheritance Games saga that has sold more than six million copies.
Barnes, who lives in Oklahoma, brings her story of danger, riches and romance to Ramsey County Library, 2180 N. Hamline Ave., Roseville, at 6 p.m. Thursday, presented by Red Balloon Bookshop in St. Paul.
In "The Gilded Blade," set from Texas to Prague to London, the Hawthorne family (from "The Grandest Game") and their allies are drawn into a web of centuries-old secrets and puzzles forcing them to unravel the mysteries that bind them.
Barnes is the author of more than 25 acclaimed young adult novels, including the Inheritance Games series, the Debutantes series, The Lovely and the Lost, and the Naturals series. She has advanced degrees in psychology, psychiatry and cognitive science. During her Roseville appearance she will be in conversation with Minnesota bestselling author Emily J. Taylor.
