McDonald's is teasing a brand new menu item—and though the home of the golden arches is not quite ready to unleash all the details yet, that isn't stopping fans from "getting prepared for this now."

The fast food giant took to social media on Monday, Aug. 4 to stir up fresh excitement over a new release on the way, sharing very minimal details in an Instagram post. "Get urself ready for a trip 8.12," it captioned a vividly-colored photo of a magical-looking outdoor scene.

The busy image included something out of a fairytale: a tree with eyes and a mouth, a purple volcano erupting with blue liquid, flowers, ice cream swirls, and a rainbow in the puffy white cloud-filled, clear blue sky. An arm that seemingly belongs to the chain's beloved mascot Ronald McDonald popped out from behind the tree, holding a creamy blue beverage topped with a pink whipped topping in its yellow-gloved hand—likely providing a major clue as to what foodies can expect to drop next week on Aug. 12.

Details were sparse, however it did note that whatever's being released is for a limited-time only, as fine print on the upload displayed, "At participating McDonald's while supplies last."

The picture alone was enough to throw fans into a complete frenzy.

"I'm getting myself prepared for this now 😂," popular blog Snackolator admitted, while snack insider Markie Devofollowed up wondering, "OMG is that Ronalds hand?!🤡🥤🙌🏻."

One person said they already put the date "On my calendar!!! 😍" with another suggesting, "If we are going to McDonaldland I'm going to cry as a grown man with happy tears."

"Ronald is that you?😦," yet another inquired.

"Siri, cancel everything on my calendar for 8.12, including my brother's birthday," someone else joked, while an additional comment read, "yes to whatever this is."

One Instagram user even said the tease for the upcoming drop gave them "Chills."

Meanwhile, some tried to guess what it could be. " @mcdonalds  will there be VHS TAPES again. ?? MCDONALDS LAND?" one hypothesized, as another asked, "Is Grimace shake coming back to U.S? ???!!  @mcdonalds ."

If we're putting our own theory out there, based on the post, it looks like there's a new milkshake flavor on the horizon. Snackolator shared an upload of its own , adding in the caption, "speculation is that this is going to be a cotton candy or blue raspberry shake as part of a new adult Happy Meal! Stay tuned for all of the details because I think this is gonna be a fun one!"
