ODT to host auditions for 'Wizard of Oz' show on Tuesday

Owensboro Dance Theatre will hold open auditions for its upcoming production of "In Concert featuring The Wizard of Oz…Reimagined" from 7-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson's Dance Studio, 2705 Breckenridge St.

Dancers and actors, both male and female, between the ages of 6 and 13 are invited to audition for the opportunity to join the cast as extra cast members.

Participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to allow parents or guardians time to complete required registration forms. Please arrive dressed in comfortable attire suitable for movement.

A $75 performance fee is required upon acceptance of a role in the show.

Successful auditionees are required to be available Jan. 22-25 to learn choreography, with additional rehearsals to be announced at a later date.

"In Concert featuring The Wizard of Oz…Reimagined" will be staged March 19-20 for school performances and March 21-22 for ticketed public performances. All shows will take place at the RiverPark Center, 101 Daviess St.
