The sound of live music is coming to a DC neighborhood for Petworth Porchfest
WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Live music will soon fill the streets of a neighborhood in northwest this weekend for Petworth PorchFest.
Petworth PorchFest returns to DC with funk, jazz, R&B!
"Petworth PorchFest is I believe the largest neighborhood music festival in D.C.," said Clara Botstein co-founder Petworth PorchFest.
This is the fifth year of the neighborhood event and Botstein said it just keeps getting bigger and better.

Live music will be across the neighborhood on Saturday, April 26 from 2-6 p.m. then from 5-8 p.m. on the main stage at the Petworth Rec Center. More than 300 bands are scheduled to perform across 130 porches. Elana La Fulana is one of the artist performing, this will be her fourth year doing so.
"I think this is a really cool opportunity to level the playing field and let other people that might not normally be in front of a stage get on stage, a porch stage," said La Fulana. "It's kinda cool."
Tarek Anandan is a volunteer for the event and said it has something for everyone.
"It's family friendly, it covers pretty much any age who is interested in music can attend and find something they are going to like," said Anandan.
Zach Israel and his neighbor are coordinating a block party for the event.
"I've been here since the beginning of PorchFest, it's just a celebration of our neighborhood, a celebration of DC and musicians and the arts," said Israel.
