Task is a new drama series created by Brad Ingelsby, starring Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey, set to premiere in September on HBO and HBO Max.
The show follows an FBI agent leading a Task Force to stop a series of violent robberies in the working class suburbs of Philadelphia.
Task will consist of seven episodes dropping weekly, with a cast that includes Emilia Jones, Jamie McShane, and Thuso Mbedu.

We’re getting a look at some of the first footage of Task , HBO’s upcoming drama series from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby.

Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey star in the seven-episode series set for premiere this September on HBO and streaming on HBO Max. Episodes will drop weekly.

“There’s been a spate of home invasions,” begins the trailer. “At least nine houses have been hit.”

Created by Ingelsby, in Task , set in the working class suburbs of Philadelphia, an FBI agent (Ruffalo) heads a Task Force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Pelphrey).

Cast also includes Emilia Jones, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Thuso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Raúl Castillo, Silvia Dionicio, Phoebe Fox, and Martha Plimpton.

Ingelsby writes, serves as showrunner and executive produces with director/EPs Jeremiah Zagar and Salli Richardson-Whitfield. Mark Roybal and Paul Lee executive produce for wiip, along with Ruffalo, David Crockett and Ron Schmidt. Nicole Jordan-Webber and Jeremy Yaches co-executive produce for Public Record.
