Some movie buffs see Tom Cruise as the last true movie star , due in part to his consistent box office success and his insistence on doing his own stunts. Since the 80s, he's done it all, including dancing in his underwear to "Old Time Rock & Roll" ( Risky Business ) and hanging off of cliffs ( Mission: Impossible II ).

What's kept him going for all of these years? It's his deep love of movies. "There's other people who love the deal or this and that," said Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman to The New York Times , but Tom just "loves going to the movies, making movies, talking about movies. It's kind of extraordinary."

Cruise has also made a name for himself in the food corner of the internet thanks to the coconut cakes he sends to his celebrity friends. His personal food preferences, and snacks in particular, were the topic of conversation in a recent video interview with the @justthenobodys podcast. In a very on-brand moment for the man who loves movies, Cruise revealed that his favorite snack is popcorn.

Everyone knows that a trip to the movie theater isn't complete without a bucket of popcorn , so it's no surprise that Cruise is a fan. In the video, he said that he eats popcorn as an on-set snack as well as something to nosh on at the theater.

"I'll go with my friends and get a big thing of popcorn and I love that," he told Just The Nobodys . "You can mix it up with different kinds of licorice or, you know, throw some chocolate in it if you want." Does it get more relatable than that? As someone who loves to dig her hands into a bucket of buttery popcorn mixed with sweet, nutty Reeses Pieces candy, I would say no.

And this isn't the only time Cruise has positioned himself as a popcorn fan. He's been seen munching on the fiber-rich snack at various screenings and premieres of his latest film, Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning. In May, writer Mike Ryan took to Twitter to share a photo of Tom Cruise eating popcorn while "talking to the employees at AMC Lincoln Square for 15 minutes."

At a separate MI - Final Reckoning screening, Todd Spence captured a different Tom Cruise popcorn moment. As Cruise enters the theater and walks to the stage, he spots an audience member in the front row and playfully calls them out for finishing all their popcorn before the movie starts.

Maybe Cruise hasn't, but who among us hasn't housed all their movie snacks during the previews? It's not our fault the pre-movie commercials run for 20-25 minutes, which is just enough time to finish a tub of popcorn.
