Former Times' editor Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll reviewed the show and interviewed the cast and crew in 2020.

Scrizzi Driscoll called "Hightown" "a largely gritty and dark, yet oh-so-scenic, perspective on Provincetown and Cape Cod."
