Water park debuting tallest waterslide in Arizona with 'toe-curling 65-foot drop'
There's a new waterslide in town at Golfland Sunsplash in Mesa and at a towering 9 stories tall, it's the tallest waterslide in Arizona.
Tony Jones, the marketing director for Golfland Entertainment Centers told abc15 that the new waterslide, Riptide, is a "toe-curling 65-foot drop loaded with dizzying twists and turns" that ends with a high-speed shot up a nearly vertical wall.
The newest addition to the water park is set to open July 4, 2025.
In the meantime, you can get your thrills on other rides like the Double Dare waterslide that drops you nearly completely vertical from 7 stories up or the Stormrider where you'll need to hold on tight to your raft as you see how many revolutions you can make in before sliding down all seven stories.
The waterpark also has a wave pool, lazy river, an activity pool and more slides. Meanwhile, over in Golfland there's mini golf, an arcade, laser tag, bumper cars and boats and go-karts.
How to visit Golfland Sunsplash
Golfland is open year-round Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m.-10p.m, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-Midnight and Sunday from 11 a.m.-Midnight. The water park is open in the summer Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday from 11a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
Admission:Golfland offers packages to bundle mini golf along with its other attractions starting at $25.99. Mini golf alone is $14.50 for guests ages 12-59 and $13 for guests ages 4-11. The water park's general admission is $56 for guests over 48" in height and $52 for guests aged 3 years old and those under 48" in height.
