Awkwafina Soars in Sam Edelman Platform Sandals at CinemaCon 2025 to Promote ‘The Bad Guys 2’

Awkwafina attended CinemaCon 2025 held at The Colosseum on Wednesday in Las Vegas to promote her upcoming film "The Bad Guys 2." The actress' co-star for the film, Craig Robinson also joined her onstage during the convention.

The "Quiz Lady" star sported a beige pair of Sam Edelman's platform sandals. The Sam Edelman's Kori sandals are crafted of woven raffia and sit atop a chunky platform. They feature a textile upper, a peep toe, an adjustable buckle closure, a synthetic sole, and a tall block heel measure 4.25 inches (110mm) and a 2-inch platform. They are one of the brand's most popular and affordable styles, with price ranges from around $80 to $160 depending on the retailer, and is available in variety of colors and styles.

Thin ankle straps secured the shoes in place, threaded through adjustable closures that offered a tailored fit. The shoe choice acted to elongated Awkwafina's silhouette, creating the illusion of length and height.

Partnered with her sky-high footwear, the "Kung Fu Panda 4" star donned a pinstriped suiting-inspired ensemble. Cast in black and white hues, Awkwafina's look consisted of an oversized blazer accompanied by what looked like a romper with baggy shorts. Turtleshell buttons offered the look a preppy touch. Gold pendant necklaces were stacked atop one another to offer Awkwafina's look a bit of shine.
Awkwafina has previously worn this shoe, and walked the red carpet at the "Jackpot" movie premiere in August wearing the same pair.

Awkwafina wears a variety of styles, ranging from sharp pumps to sporty sneakers. The "Crazy Rich Asians" actress has been seen on the red carpet in a variety of colorful and neutral pointed-toe pumps and platform sandals, which she also re-wears, from luxury brands like Malone Souliers, Versace and Larroudé. She's also been spotted in affordable styles by Aldo. Off-duty, her footwear is decidedly more casual, including Stella McCartney platform brogues, Reebok and Converse sneakers.
