—Celtic Martins concert, Hill Church Picnic Grove, 620 Hill Church Road, Pike Township, 4-6 p.m. Food available at 3 p.m. A free will offering will be accepted. Rain or shine.

—New Holland Band concert of sacred and secular music, Advent Lutheran Church, 16 Telford Ave., West Lawn, 2 p.m.

Sept. 25:

—Leesport Area Historical Society meeting, Bethany EC Church, 308 Main St., Leesport, 7 p.m. "Schuylkill River Project" presented by Chari Towne of the Delaware Riverkeeper Network. Towne will detail efforts by those who worked to restore the health of the river and discuss how that project still resonates. Towne is the author of "A River Again: The Story of the Schuylkill River Project."

Oct. 1:

—Leesport Area Historical Society Museum open house, 128 Main St., Leesport, 1-4 p.m. our includes classroom circa 1940-50s and museum room including a rare printing press and Quaker marriage certificate dated 1757. Current exhibit features local advertising signage and school memorabilia.

Oct. 7

—Favorite (Bazaar) Food Sale: Women of the ELCA at Zion's Lutheran Church, 354 Zions Church Road, Shoemakersville, drive-thru food sale, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Soup, barbecue and apple dumplings. Pre-order sales only, payment due by Oct. 1. Checks payable to WELCA mailed to church address. Information and order forms at zionslutheran.org and Facebook page. Also collecting clothing for Hope Rescue Mission at pickup. Proceeds benefit ministries of Zion's and community.

—All-you-can-eat turkey potpie dinner, Kutztown Grange Hall, Kemp Street and James Alley, Kutztown, 3:30-6:30 p.m. Cost: $12 for adults; $6 children 4-12; free for children 3 and under. Dinner includes lettuce with homemade hot bacon dressing; corn and/or string beans; applesauce; roll with butter; beverage; one dessert. Potpie quarts $9. Take-out dinners available.

—Drive-thru sausage sandwich sale, St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 122 W. Franklin St., Topton, 10 a.m. until sold out. Cost $6 each. Enter at Broad Alley and exit at Franklin Street.

—Spring Valley Boutique, Spring Valley Church of God, 2727 Old Pricetown Road, Muhlenberg Township, 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Most items at the boutique are free. Featured items vary by month (depending on donations) but frequently include clothing for women, men and children, shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc. Anyone looking to donate used items to this ministry can do so during boutique hours. Park in the upper parking lot, boutique is set up in the gym.

Oct.8:

—Fall on the Farm, Rodale Institute, 611 Siegfriedale Road, Maxatawny Township, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Enjoy all the best parts of fall, from fresh apple cider to pumpkin painting to organic apple picking. Listen to live music, eat an organic meal from visiting food trucks and pick your own organically grown apples. There will be activities for kids of all ages, free wagon tours of the farm, pumpkin painting and a fall plant sale. Go to the Visitor Center and check out a walking tour of the farm. Oct.10:

—"Let's Cook Vegetarian" class, Berks County Ag Center, 1238 County Welfare Road, Bern Township, 5-7 p.m. It's a hands-on cooking class that will explore different ways to eat a balanced, plant-based diet. Oct. 14:

—St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1136 Geigertown Road, Union Township, will celebrate its 250th anniversary with a free public festival starting with a 5K run and 1-mile fun walk at 9 a.m., with the festival running from 2-8 p.m. Live music in the tented area will be provided by Threefold Blessing at 2; Think of 3 at 4; and Ironwood Drive at 6 p.m. There will be fireworks at 8 p.m. A variety of food will be available along with various activities. A tour of the historic sanctuary and cemetery will be offered.

—Craft and vendor bazaar, West Lawn United Methodist Church Raffauf Community Center, 101 Woodside Ave., West Lawn, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Breakfast, lunch, baked goods. Pre-register for a table by calling Sharon Rutherford at 610-468-9427. All proceeds benefit the ministries and missions of West Lawn UMC.
