James is dating Sadie Johnson, and the two have been seen together on Instagram quite frequently. They met while attending Sierra Canyon High in 2024.

Johnson has not been spotted at any Arizona games recently, and she recently posted Instagram Stories from Kanye West's comeback concert in Los Angeles, so it doesn't appear as if she's making the trip to Indiana for the Final Four.
