Bunnie Xo says Cameron Diaz inspired her baby plans after Jelly Roll divorce

Podcaster Bunnie Xo' s marriage to country music star Jelly Roll may be over, but her journey to motherhood is just getting started.

In a Sept. 3 episode of the "Open Book" podcast , Bunnie Xo, 46, said she still plans to have a baby and cited Cameron Diaz , 57, as an inspiration for becoming a mother later in life. Diaz welcomed her first child, daughter Raddix, at 47.

"I think that's so inspiring, and I feel like it gives you a purpose later on in life to live for," Bunnie told host Jenna Bush Hager . "I will still have a baby."

Diaz and her husband, Benji Madden , also share son Cardinal, 2. In May, the couple revealed on Instagram that they had welcomed their third child, a baby boy.

The "Dumb Blonde" podcast host, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, previously opened up about undergoing in vitro fertilization with Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, as they planned to have a child together. She now says she plans to keep her fertility journey more private.

"I just feel like I need to keep it close to my chest, especially right now, because everybody just wants to pin like the craziest stuff on me," she said. "But it's still a dream."

Actress Serayah announced on Aug. 24 that she had ended her engagement with rapper Joey Bada$$ The couple, who had been dating since 2022, were affected by "repeated infidelity," the "Empire" actress alleged.

"There comes a point in a woman's life when choosing herself is no longer an option, it becomes necessary," she wrote in a lengthy statement on Instagram . "I share this not for sympathy, retaliation, or to publicly tear anyone down. I share it because too many women are taught to question themselves before they question what is happening right in front of them." The "Mr. Robot" actor has not commented on the allegation publicly. The couple welcomed a son in 2025.

Bunnie did not mention whether she still plans to welcome a baby with Jelly Roll during her conversation with Hager.

After nearly a decade of marriage, the former couple finalized their divorce proceedings on July 17, agreeing to split their assets, according to a marital dissolution agreement filed in Tennessee.

On a June 18 episode of "Dumb Blonde," however, Bunnie said the former couple was "still having a baby together" despite their split and planned to co-parent. The pair had previously been pursuing in vitro fertilization.

"So, we have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered," she said. "We're going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn't what you guys think this is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It's literally just we served our purpose for each other."

"He wants the same thing. We're just going to raise a little nugget as one happy family," she added.

Bunnie expressed gratitude for where they stand following their divorce, saying, "Being happy and healthy and best friends through this is probably the biggest gift that we could have given each other."
