Breakup rumors between a Grammy-winning rapper and an NFL player have started to surface following the Super Bowl.

Cardi B and Stefon Diggs have unfollowed each other on Instagram after the Patriots’ Super Bowl LX loss on Sunday. The Seattle Seahawks edged out the Patriots 29 to 13.

Shortly after the big game, fans of the couple started to notice that they had cut ties on social media. A search on both Cardi B and Diggs’ Instagram accounts confirmed this.

Fans have now started to dig into the root of the split, with some hinting at signs of infidelity from Diggs.

“Cardi and Stefon Diggs just unfollowed each other..…. she had his baby 2 MONTHS AGO," one X user wrote “And he was caught TONIGHT sneaking his girl best friend into his hotel room not even an hour after he lost the Super Bowl.”

Fans were speculating the breakup may have stemmed from Diggs’ reportedly being seen with his ex-girlfriend, model Sky Marlene . Last week, Marlene posted a video of Diggs on social media and said that the Patriots player had been messaging her on Instagram. However, there have not been any confirmed reports that the two were spending time together.

Other fans have speculated the split may have been the result of Diggs’ legal issues. The wide receiver is facing strangulation charges stemming from an alleged altercation with his personal chef in December 2025. Diggs is accused of slapping and assaulting the chef over a dispute about her salary.

The NFL star is scheduled to appear in Dedham District Court on Friday. His court date was pushed back until after the Super Bowl.

Breakup rumors were further fueled by Cardi’s short response to a reporter who asked the rapper what advice she would give Diggs ahead of the big game.

“Good luck,” she said, according to a video posted on X .

Diggs and Cardi B were rumored to be dating in 2024 and confirmed their relationship over the summer. They made their first public appearance together in May 2025 at a New York Knicks-Boston Celtics game at Madison Square Garden. The couple welcomed their first child — a son — this past November.

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, has been in attendance at several Patriots games this season, sitting with team owner Robert Kraft . Diggs previously gushed over Cardi B ahead of the Super Bowl.

“I just appreciate the support. She’s been an amazing support of just me and the Patriots. She wasn’t a football girl before I converted her over,” Diggs said during a press conference on Jan. 21 .

“I’m just thankful to have her in my corner. She’s an amazing woman, and (we) continue to build that relationship,” the athlete continued. “I don’t talk too much about my personal life. But she’s an amazing woman, and I just appreciate her. Hopefully I can build on that and watch that tree grow.”

The Sun reported that Diggs hinted at proposing to Cardi B on the eve of Super Bowl LX. When a reporter questioned him about when he planned to propose, Diggs responded with, “It’s on the agenda, maybe. Right?”

He added, “I gotta get mine first, though.”

While Diggs did address his future with the Patriots following his team’s defeat, he did not mention anything about his relationship.

“Oh (expletive). Unless they opt out of the contract,” Diggs said. “I anticipate being here, so I hope so. Love my guys. I had a hell of a year playing with them.”

“Had a hell of a time in Minnesota, had a hell of a time in Buffalo, had (a) hell of a time in Houston,” he added. “I don’t compare and contrast. You know, comparison is the thief of joy. I had a good time at all those places. Did it work out? No. But I’m happy where I’m at right now and embrace what I got going on here, so I’m just super thankful.”
