Dallas Wings' Azzi Fudd named a Sports Illustrated model for its 2027 swimsuit issue
Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd has been named a Sports Illustrated model for the 2027 issue, joining 10 other women for a glamorous photoshoot in Mallorca and Ibiza, Spain.
In a teaser video from her podcast, " Fudd Around and Find Out," Fudd offered fans a behind-the-scenes look at her journey .
She shared she traveled to an incredible destination, featuring clips of the stunning Ibiza sunset and rows of swimsuits, hinting at the excitement and scale of the shoot.
"I did a really cool shoot that I can't talk about yet," Fudd teased to her cohost, Ashanti Plummer, as a black screen flashed the words "Sports Illustrated shoot" alongside an eye emoji.
The release date for the 2027 Sports Illustrated issue has not yet been announced.
Fudd, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, had her rookie season cut short due to arthroscopic knee surgery in late August. The procedure sidelined her for the remainder of the regular season and the Wings' postseason run.
Before her injury, Fudd was averaging 13.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
