Danny Pudi Finds a New Community

Danny Pudi, star of the long-running NBC sitcom "Community," will be settling into a new community of his own after buying the Pasadena home of Olympic gold medalist swimmer Betsey Mitchell.

Pudi paid $1.32 million for the classic English-style house, reports the Los Angeles Times . The property originally came to market in early January with an asking price of $1.399 million.

Pudi's new home, built in 1925, is located in the desirable Caltech and Huntington Library District of Pasadena. Described as "classic with a modern twist," the property holds much of its original, architectural charm, while also offering modern conveniences.

An open floor plan of slightly more than 3,705 square feet, connected by detailed arches and barrel ceilings, contains two master suites, four additional bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.

French doors in the living room open to an intimate courtyard area that provides the perfect space for outdoor dining and sitting. A spa and shower are also located on the 7,100-square-foot grounds.

Pudi, 35, is best known for his role as "Abed" on the NBC comedy. He has also appeared on episodes of the ABC series "Greek" and has a small role in the upcoming Marvel action film "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," in which he plays a S.H.I.E.L.D. employee.

Maggie Navarro of Teles Properties had the listing.  Kathy Gibson of Podley Properties represented Pudi in the sale.
