Frankie Grande, J.D. Salinger’s Son Matt and More Set for Rare Public Appearances This Month
- Poet Virginia Konchan and other celebrity authors and poets will be featured in Bryant Park’s July literary series, including appearances by Frankie Grande and Matt Salinger.
Frankie Grandeand Matt Salingerare among the familiar names fans will have a chance to see in person this month.
Bryant Park 's July literary series is bringing together celebrity authors, bestselling writers and award-winning poets for a slate of free conversations and book events, with Grande, 43, and the son of legendary author J.D. Salinger, 66, leading two of the biggest appearances.
On July 8, Frankie will discuss his new memoir, Supergay! , opening up about his career, personal life and the experiences that shaped his journey. The Broadway performer and television personality will also stick around to sign copies of the book for fans.
Less than a week later, on July 14, Matt Salingerwill make a special appearance marking the 75th anniversary of The Catcher in the Rye . During the event, he'll reflect on the enduring legacy of his father's iconic novel and its impact on generations of readers.

The lineup also includes bestselling author and financial expert Megan Gorman, who will explore the surprising financial histories of America's presidents, and four-time Emmy-nominated producer Steven C. Smith, who will discuss the legendary creative partnership between filmmaker Alfred Hitchcockand composer Bernard Herrmann.
Poetry fans can also catch a tribute to Robert Hayden, the first African American U.S. Poet Laureate, as well as a free poetry writing workshop led by published poet Mary Donnelly.
While the events take place at Bryant Park, they're expected to draw fans from well beyond New York thanks to the celebrity guests and milestone celebrations honoring some of literature's biggest names.
