“I’m OK With It”: Josh Allen’s Open Admission About Wife Hailee Steinfeld

There is no denying that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is one of the most talented football players on the planet.

Sure, you can split hairs by comparing the reigning NFL MVP's resume to the passing numbers of Lamar Jackson or the playoff success of Patrick Mahomes. No matter where Allen falls in your personal preference, there is a case to be made that he is the best at what he does.

It is a different story, though, when you stack his talents up against his wife, Hailee Steinfeld. The recording artist and "Sinners" actress tied the knot with Allen in the offseason, leaving him subject to a whole new debate.

"I left the movie theater and I thought, 'The NFL MVP is the second-most talented person in his own marriage,'" NFL Network's Kyle Brandt said during a sit-down interview with Allen that aired on HBO's "Hard Knocks."

"Is that a crazy hot take?" Brandt asked, drawing a strong response from the Bills' signal caller.

"Absolutely not," Allen replied. "One thousand percent. And I'm OK with it."

Two years after appearing in "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," Steinfeld played a supporting role in Ryan Coogler's "Sinners" that brought her new husband to tears.

"When we watched it at the premiere, I was crying at the end," Allen admitted. "I was so proud of her. I get emotional thinking about it."

As Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his new fiancee Taylor Swift have shown, there is a growing trend of established NFL stars who do not feel the need to be the most popular or talented person in their relationships — as long as the foundations are secure and the support goes both ways.

"To have the support that I do at home, and to have someone that I share similar life interests with and wants in life, it's an awesome feeling," Allen said of his new wife during a Buffalo preseason game. "I get to support somebody as much as she supports me."
