Considered the world's biggest TikTok Awards, Gauff was among the nominees for the upcoming event along with notable names in sports and entertainment.
On Thursday, she took to Instagram, where she made a noteworthy request regarding her nomination for Muse of the Year.
"IDK how I got nominated but ayee," she captioned her IG Story post, adding a link where fans could vote for her.
Joining the two-time Grand Slam winner in the same category are WNBA star Angel Reese , Paris Hilton , Pretty Little Liars actress Shay Mitchell and Milwaukee Bucks standout Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The inaugural TikTok Awards will be held on Dec. 18 in Los Angeles, bringing together top creators and major industry figures for a night that celebrates digital talent.
Additionally, the event will spotlight 14 award categories and recognize over 70 nominated creators. This includes Creator of the Year, Video of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Storyteller of the Year, TikTok for Good Award, My Show is On Award [Film & TV], MVP of the Year [Sports], Okay Slay Award for Fashion/Beauty, I Was Today Years Old Award, Immediately Added To Cart Award, CapCut Creator of the Year and TikTok LIVE Creator of the Year.
On TikTok, Gauff has 1.1 million followers and counting, with most of her content featuring playful behind-the-scenes moments of her training and matches, collaborations with brands and a few personal glimpses into her life .

Among her most-watched TikTok videos is a clip of her younger brother playing an instrument to a Tyler the Creator song, which currently has 12.3 million views.
At the time, her entry even surpassed one of NBA star LeBron James' videos.
Another one of Gauff's most-watched TikTok videos captures the moment she won her first major title at the 2023 US Open final.
Her first Grand Slam win came after she defeated Belarusian player Aryna Sabalenka in a 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory.
The video reached 11.8 million views, 2.4 million likes and tons of praise for the new champion.
