Chance the Rapper Recaps the Obamas’ Farewell Party: ‘It Was Historic, It Was Black, It Was Beautiful’
Best. Party. Ever. That's the word on President Obama's farewell party at the White House according to someone who scored an invite, Chance the Rapper.
Celebs from actors to musicians gathered last Friday at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to give the Obamas a warm send-off ahead of the transition to a Donald Trump administration on Jan. 20.

While cameras were banned on the premises, that didn't stop Chance from rapping on about what went down and listing-off the night's biggest party animals.
"It was historic, it was black, it was beautiful," says Chance in video shot during the small hours of the morning, still giddy from the night's events. "There was dancing, there was laughing, there was loving and hugs."
And who got down to partying? According to Chance, the best-looking guest was Esperanza Spalding. The strongest handshake? Dave Chappelle. And the best hug of the night? Tom Hanks and Robert De Niro.
Chance the Rapper has an old-school connection to the outgoing president. The Chicago artist has known Obama since childhood, when his father worked for the then-Illinois state senator.
