Welcome back to the Coming Around Again podcast, part of the Pop Shop family, where host Andrew Unterberger and a variety of guests will be discussing notable anniversaries being celebrated in the music world.

After a couple weeks off, the pod returns this week to discuss the 30th anniversary of Guns N' Roses' seminal, diamond-plus-selling Appetite for Destruction debut. Calling in to talk about the album is Celebration Rock podcast host and cultural critic Steven Hyden, who also recently did a piece on the album ranking every track on it for UPROXX .

Hyden discusses growing up with Guns N' Roses, and what about Appetite for Destruction remains underrated after all these years. We also have a spirited debate about whether or not it's fair that Appetite tends to be viewed as the band's undisputed masterpiece — often to the detriment of their subsequent LPs — and get into an extended argument over whether or album centerpiece "Paradise City" deserves its reputation as a classic rock fixture.

Listen to both discussions below, and be sure to check back every week to see which classic artists, albums and songs are Coming Around Again!
