Chalamet also opted for monochrome coordinates, wearing a GapStudios look designed by the label's creative director, Zac Posen. On Instagram, the designer compared the legacy of Bob Dylan, who Chalamet is nominated for playing in "A Complete Unknown," to that of Gap's as a brand.

"Timothée is a product of history, of what came before and what's happening now," Posen wrote. "In 1965, Bob Dylan released Like a Rolling Stone, a song that rewired the air. By 1969, Gap was selling jeans and records, telling a generation how to dress, how to listen. The pattern is familiar — styles shift, culture loops back, and here we are again."

Chalamet was styled by Taylor McNeill, who recently curated Kendrick Lamar's halftime show look at the Super Bowl.
