Dolly Parton has addressed her family, friends, and fans following their massive support in the wake of husband Carl Dean's death at the age of 82 earlier this week.
The "Jolene" songstress took to Instagram on Thursday, March 6—three days after Dean died—with a brief message of "love" for those who have been reaching out to her.
"This is a love note to family, friends, and fans. Thank you for all the messages, cards, and flowers that you've sent to pay your respects for the loss of my beloved husband Carl," she wrote in a graphic uploaded to the social media platform. "I can't reach out personally to each of you but just know it has meant the world to me. He is in God's arms now and I am okay with that. I will always love you. — Dolly."
Alongside countless fans, industry colleagues flooded her comment section with even more thoughtful messages.

"The family has asked for privacy during this difficult time," the statement concluded. A cause of death has not been provided.
