Drake’s Meek Mill Diss, Sam Smith & Disclosure, Carly Rae Jepsen, Prince Royce & Tyga: Must-Hear Music Podcast

1 min read

With Drake dropping two diss tracks after Meek Mill put him on blast, we'd be crazy not to talk about at least one of them on this week's Must-Hear Music podcast .

As it turns out, we're not crazy, so we talk about the (much) better of the two, Drake's "Back to Back." Brimming forth with quotable insults — including Drake's prediction that Minaj will eventually dump Meek — "Back to Back" definitely puts Drizzy on top of the feud.

Following their mutual breakthrough hit "Latch," Disclosure and Sam Smith  recently teamed up for "Omen," a less-catchy but still lovely song we look at. In the less celebrated collaboration realm, we check out Prince Royce 's Tyga collabo "Double Vision," the title track to the former's primarily English-language album. While I'm ( Joe Lynch ) all about Royce's vocals in the song, Jason Lipshutz and Natalie Weiner are less enthusiastic.

And, of course, we talk about the practically perfect pop of "Run Away With Me" from Canadian pop queen Carly Rae Jepsen . Plus, we look at Ta-ku's remix of Gallant's "Weight in Gold," Clairity's Yazoo-inspired "Velcro," and a couple of fan recommendations.
