The Property Brother and his wife first met at Toronto Fashion Week in 2010. Since then, they married in a whimsical ceremony in May 2018 and welcomed their first child, son Parker, four years later.

In January 2024, they announced they were expecting their second child on Instagram and welcomed their baby girl on May 21.

March 2010: Drew Scott and Linda Phan's first meeting

Scott and Phan first crossed paths during a Toronto Fashion Week event in 2010, where Phan was dressed as the "fashion police."

"She was wearing a big cop badge and giving out tickets for 'bad fashion,'" Scott told PEOPLE . "I saw her and thought, 'Oh, she's attractive!' She also had this great personality."

2010: Drew Scott and Linda Phan have "the longest first date ever"

In 2010, they exchanged numbers and a few months later decided to meet up, an event which Phan described as "the longest first date ever."

After eating sushi and stopping for hot chocolate, Scott innocently (and unwarrantedly) invited himself to a karaoke party that Phan was to attend. Although she was surprised at his persistence, it paid off the moment "he picked up the microphone."

2012: Linda Phan moves in with Drew Scott and his brother, Scott

Phan moved in with the HGTV stars in their Las Vegas pad in 2012. "People were always like, 'Isn't that weird?' But there's an ease to it," Phan told PEOPLE. "You wake up, and you go to work. It's nice and really convenient to be able to have meetings with the people you live with."

Phan soon went to work for Scott and twin brother Jonathan's production company, Scott Brothers Entertainment, later serving as the creative director.

After six years of dating, Scott popped the question with an elaborate proposal at Toronto's Piano Piano restaurant. A Dr. Seuss cake , a recording of the Property Brothers star singing Train's "Marry Me," a surprise afterparty and a custom ring were all included.

"I've never met another woman like her, and once you do, you want to be with her forever," he told PEOPLE.

March 2017: Drew Scott and Linda Phan buy their "honeymoon house"

Scott revealed he and Phan picked up a new pad in Los Angeles during a Facebook Live in March 2017.

Soon after, the network announced plans to feature the couple's reno on a new series, Property Brothers at Home: Drew's Honeymoon House .

January 2018: Drew Scott and Linda Phan move into their dream house

Scott and Phan made over every square inch of the 5-bedroom, 4-bath home — and even added a few new ones. With help from contractor Jonathan, they tackled every imaginable decor faux-pas , from "shag carpet no one even wanted to touch" to poodle wallpaper, said Scott.

The pair were thrilled with the sophisticated final result. "It feels like we're on a honeymoon staycation—and the wedding hasn't even happened yet!" Scott told HGTV Magazine.

May 4, 2018: Drew Scott and Linda Phan get married in Italy

The couple wed in a whimsical outdoor ceremony in Italy in May 2018. The two said their vows in front of 300 guests, including family and friends who flew in from the United States, Canada, Latin America and Scotland.

"We are still floating on clouds … today couldn't have been more magical," the couple exclusively told PEOPLE . "Surrounded by so many loved ones in such a beautiful place was unreal. We are very, very lucky. Friends, family, amazing food, blue skies and being even more in love than ever before — what more could we ask for?"

Three years later, the couple shared that they made it official in Nashville in a hot tub before their wedding in Italy.

May 4, 2019: Drew Scott and Linda Phan celebrate their one-year anniversary

The Scotts marked their one-year anniversary with sweet social media tributes .

"How is it that time flies so fast when you're in love? Today is Linda and my first anniversary!" Scott wrote alongside a gallery of photos from their wedding. "Linda, thank you for joining me on this life long adventure. Let's keep laughing and dancing even when we are old and wrinkled❤️❤️❤️ #maythe4thbewithyou."

January 8, 2020: Drew Scott and Linda Phan talk about having children

"We do get it a lot, especially from my parents," Scott told PEOPLE of being asked when he and Phan might start a family. "We are looking forward to having kids. In the meantime, we're getting a lot of practice babysitting our nieces and nephews."

"I know Linda is going to be an amazing mom," he said before adding , "and I hope I'll be a great dad."

December 21, 2021: Drew Scott and Linda Phan announce they're expecting

"Cat's out of the bag, everyone. Linda's pregnant," said Scott on the couple's podcast, At Home , on Dec. 21, 2021.

The HGTV host and the podcast producer have often spoken about their hopes to start a family since tying the knot in 2018 . After a two-year fertility journey that included IUI and IVF treatments, they finally received good news in August and were prepared to welcome a little one in May 2022.

In being open about their own road to parenthood, Scott and Phan hoped their candidness might help others.

"It has been an adventure to get here! We know we're not alone in this experience and that everyone's is filled with unique challenges along the way," they wrote in a complementary Instagram post. "We hope as we grow through this, that even one of you reading this can also feel a little less lonely in whatever path you're on!"

Three months later, Scott and Phan opened up to Reveal magazine about the importance of having a "supportive" community as they prepared to welcome their first baby.

"When it comes to IVF, I wish someone told me that there's such a supportive community," shared Phan. "That was a thing I leaned into the most and I appreciate the most."

"Whether it was having to go to IVF or IUI or whatever else it might be, it was actually the more we realize a lot of people go through some pretty tough journeys as well, it actually helped to build a community of support," added Scott. "We wanted to be a part of that."

March 2022: Drew Scott and Linda Phan have a baby shower brunch

Phan shared a series of photos on Instagram from her baby shower brunch in March 2022. One of the images featured a close-up look of a white cake topped with an olive green and floral layer. Fruit and flowers surrounded the cake table. Phan and Scott smiled behind the confection in another photo.

"Terrible at uploading pics. expert at eating cake! 😋," Phan captioned the photos, thanking her family for the "baby shower brunch."

April 14 2022: Drew Scott talks about the challenges he and Linda Phan face with IVF

Just three weeks before the birth of his first baby, Scott shared the challenges he and Phan faced while on their IVF journey.

"I think for us, the whole thing was we were so lost. We were trying for years, we wanted to have kids for years and with no success," Scott told PEOPLE . "It was a lack of education, not having the right support, the right professionals around us."

He continued, "Our fertility endocrinologist was a huge help. Once we started to understand more why things weren't working, Linda has thyroid issues, she has Graves' disease, so trying to understand what we had to do to get to a point where we could even consider conceiving, that was the biggest challenge."

May 2022: Drew Scott and Linda Phan welcome baby boy on their fourth wedding anniversary

The couple welcomed their first baby together, a boy, in 2022; they announced the news on their podcast At Home .

August 2022: Drew Scott talks about the new depths he shares with Linda Phan and their sonbeing a parent with Linda Phan

Three months after the birth of his son, Scott spoke with Entertainment Tonight about his first few weeks of parenthood and how things are going with his baby boy.

"It unlocks a side you didn't know you had," Scott said of becoming a parent . "You think you know. I have this deep love for Linda, but then, all of a sudden, that's the shallow pool. I'm not saying shallow with Linda, I love Linda, but there's a whole other depth to Linda and my love together with Parker."

"It's amazing just seeing his face when he looks at you, like, once he started focusing in and he locks eyes with you — oh, your heart melts," he added. "It's amazing."

Scott also noted that Phan was taking care of their baby as he worked on his TV shows.

"For right now, Linda and I are taking it all. I have a busy filming schedule, and Linda is taking care of Parker during filming — but when I'm not here 24/7, it's full-time with Parker," he explained. "We just don't wanna miss those minutes, you know, the moments when he's little. I don't wanna miss any of that."

January 21, 2024: Drew Scott announces he and Linda Phan are expecting their second child

Scott and Phan announced they were expecting baby no. 2 in a joint Instagram post of their toddler son, Parker, touching his mom's growing belly.

May 21, 2024: Drew Scott and Linda Phan welcome their second baby

Scott and Phan's second child, a baby girl they named Piper Rae, arrived on May 21, 2024, though the couple didn't announce her birth until the first week of June.

In a joint Instagram post , they shared the first photos of Piper's tiny hands and feet. Scott wrote, "Our family of 3 has become 4! Piper Rae, I love you with all my heart ❤️."

Scott also shared the news on Drew and Jonathan , the website he shares with his brother.
