BRISTOL — Elkhart Civic Theatre will hold auditions for "Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors" at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15 and 17 at St. Mary's of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 411 W. Vistula St.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

Bring a list of potential rehearsal conflicts from Jan. 2 through March 2.

All genders, ethnicities, body types, and backgrounds will be considered during casting. "Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors" sends up gender norms and embraces sexiness of all types.

Written by Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen, the play mixes humor with horror as five actors play more than a dozen roles, according to a press release.

When her sister Mina falls ill with a mysterious disease of the blood, Lucy Westfeldt and her fiancé, Jonathan Harker, enlist the help of famed female vampire hunter Doctor Jean Van Helsing.

Their hunt for the dangerous and sexy Count Dracula abounds with clever wordplay and quick-change antics, the release says.

The production also needs a stage manager, lighting operator, sound operator and four costume crew runners to assist with the fast changes during the performances.
