Exclusive: Maná Talk Working With Shakira on Their No. 1 Single ‘Mi Verdad’ and Their ‘Sexy, Cool’ Upcoming Album
"Sexy, cool, deep — very deep." That's how members of Mexican rock band Maná describe their upcoming studio album, Cama Incendiada ( Burning Bed ), due out late April.
They should also add "massive hit," as the single " Mi Verdad ," featuring Shakira , debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs on Feb. 19, knocking Enrique Iglesias ' " Bailando " from the perch it held for 41 weeks.

More impressive, the track is only the 13thsong to bow at No. 1, and the first to do so since the list became a hybrid tally blending airplay, sales and streaming data in October of 2012.
"Mi Verdad" (My Truth), says Maná lead singer Fher Olvera, was a track he wrote for his 7-year-old son Dali. The lyrics, he told Billboard, prompted him to send it to Shakira, who after listening to it with hubby Gerard Pique agreed to record it.
In this, their first and only interview with media so far about their new music, Maná also shared the name of their upcoming studio album — Cama Incendiada ( Burning Bed ) — and the story behind it.
